Psychologists have found that our subconscious mind interprets what it hears very literally. The words that come out of your mouth therefore create the reality you inhabit.
Scripture teaches us in Proverbs 18:21 death and life are in the power of the tongue: And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. What does that mean? You shall have whatever you say. If you’re always telling yourself that you are broke, you will never have money. If you are always telling yourself that you are sick, you will never heal. You ever heard the phrase; a mind is a terrible thing to waste? Well, it is. I truly believe that when you think about something long enough and equate that with your speech, you manifest it. And not always in a good way.
Philippians 4:8 says, ESV: Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
It’s not often that I get a headache but when I do, I try not to speak it out loud. Meaning I won’t say, oh man my head hurts. What I do instead is speak God’s word over pain. For those of us who grew up in the non denominational church, we say, by Jesus stripes I am healed, that’s according to Isaiah 53:5. I do my best to counteract the attack on my body.
I used to know this guy named Billy who would constantly say to himself (out loud) he was “gonna break this man’s face”, about a person he did not like. This went on for about 6 months until a situation occurred where he actually physically rearranged that man’s face. The man had two black eyes and a broken nose, he had to get surgery to fix it. Billy had been rehearsing that phrase for months until he snapped and did exactly what he said he would. Now I know this is an extreme case but think about it. What is something you are consistently repeating, does that match up to how your life has been up to this point?
I truly believe that if you change the way you speak, you can change your life. Is your glass half empty or half full? It’s all how you look at it. Something that helps me, are positive affirmations! Every day that I am blessed with, I tell myself it’s gonna be a good day. Now do bad things happen, of course they do, but I choose to keep my mind fixed on the things that are going well.
So let me encourage you as I encourage myself. Start your day off with some positive words or even a positive sentence. I can guarantee if you make that a habit, you will see a shift in your life and the energy around you.
Sending you love, light and positive vibes!

This is a powerful reminder, I myself can tend to develop an Eeyore mentality myself. Positivity does bring light.
