You Are Enough!!

About 4 weeks ago I was asked to speak at my daughters 3rd annual Toeaga's Tea. (TEA = Teaching, Affirming, Empowering). This event is in honor and remembrance of her grandma Toeaga Gansit. She left this physical world in March of 2020 but her spirit lives on in all the beautiful family she left behind. Do me a favor, mark you calendar for the last Saturday August 2024 for the 4th annual event.

The theme of this years event was Y.E.T, You Are Enough! I wanted to share with you what I imparted to the women and girls who attended this beautiful event.

Y.E.T

You’re Enough Today

Have you ever struggled with being enough? Always feeling as if you fall short in certain areas of your life. Each one of us has different struggles for different reasons. For a long time, I struggled with feeling pretty enough, skinny enough, or even smart enough. I would listen to the voices of others who spoke negatively to me. Whether that was the bullies when I was a child and teenager, the men who violated me as a young person, the physical and mental abuse I encountered from people who claimed to love and care for me, and the list goes on and on. All of these people planted that seed, and it was me who kept on watering it. Every thought of insignificance would come up, I would take a hold of it and let it seep into my spirit. Affecting the way that I dealt with myself and others. Can I tell you a secret? You are enough in God’s eyes. You are more than enough. You were created for such a time as this, and don’t let anyone tell you any different, not even yourself.

Say this out loud “I AM ENOUGH!”

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 in the message bible says, my grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christs strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size -abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks, I just let Christ take over! And so, the weaker I get, the stronger I become.

Do me a favor, don’t focus on the negatives, but keep your mind attached to the positives. Okay you may be a little overweight, but at least you can walk and talk and chew gum at the same time. You may have teeth missing, or balding hair, you can get some dentures or wear a wig. There is always something that will make it enough. You weren’t able to accomplish the 10 things on your list, but you finished 3. When you shift your focus to what you have done or can do instead of looking at what you haven’t done or can’t do, it helps to make life easier to live.

E.N.O.U.G.H (Embracing New Obstacles Under Gods Hand)

Always remember God gave you everything you need to be successful. You just have to tap into it. Make sure you are sitting in the stillness of intimacy with God. Intimacy means to me (Into Me I See) continue to look within, and lean on the God in you.

You Are Enough!

Sending you love, light and positive vibes,

Cassie K.

This is a tough one for me being that I am my own worst critic. It's something I have to work on, on a daily basis. No matter how many self help books I read or therapy I receive, that doubt, nagging feeling, critiquing myself is a daily battle for me. I truly hope to conquer it one day.
