Albert Einstein once said, "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results." If you want something different, you need to change the way you do things. If any of you know me, you know I can't stand change. When something works well for me, I like to keep it that way. If I have a route that I take to work, I keep it because it's familiar to me and I know exactly how much time it will take for me to get there. For many years I have been buying our toilet paper in bulk from Costco. I like to buy the individually wrapped rolls because they're cleaner to me. We keep extra rolls by the toilet for easy access. I recently took a trip to Dallas and my friend Lesia introduced me to the toilet paper that she buys, and when I used it, it felt so good on my bottom. That reminded me of a conversation I had with my daughter when she was home from school where she told me that our toilet paper was rough and it felt funny. It seems to be cheaply made, she said. I decided to make the change and switched to this new softer paper. Unfortunately, they are not individually wrapped but the quality is so much better.
Is there something in your life that you need to change for the better? Are you drinking enough water during the day? For the last two months I have kept a water bottle by my bed so that I can wake up and drink it before my day starts. By doing this, I make sure I get at least 8 oz down as I begin my day. For me it's a struggle to drink enough. When you change you start to move in another direction. Scripture says in 2 Peter 3:8 continue to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ... As I continue to grow in the things of God, I will see the world how God sees it. Looking for the love in people instead of focusing on all the negativity that is out there. So many times, we say we need to do something, but we never take the steps toward getting it done. You don't have to accomplish everything in one setting, you can take baby steps.
Recently I have been inspired to try something different that I haven't done since I was a teenager. What is that you ask? Well, I started wearing a little bit of make-up. So, for me, my baby step is wearing lipstick or lip-gloss. I am a chap stick girl. This change will be good even though its uncomfortable to me. It helps me feel better about myself and enhances my natural beauty.
Today, I challenge you to make some changes in your life. You are the only one who knows what will enhance your life. Change isn't always a bad thing. Of course, that's just my opinion, but I guarantee it will improve your quality of life. Don't forget that change starts with you!
Sending you love, light and positive vibes,
Cassie K.

I agree, some change can be very good! I will challenge myself to make a change today!
Change has always been hard for me growing up. However, as an adult I have come to realize that change is not "the boogie man". I don't have to be afraid of it anymore, because change protects me, my heart and mind. Change has helped me weed out the negative aspects in my life that have caused me mental and spiritual pain. Change may hurt at first, but the freedom from those feelings, feels oh so good!
Baby steps! You are on your way my friend! May God continue to bless you and everything you touch! In God’s mighty name I pray! Amen.
