All of a sudden!

A person's health does not suddenly deteriorate. It’s a gradual process due to a combination of occurrences happening over a period of time. It is possible that you were misdiagnosed or that you went undiagnosed entirely!

I remember when my mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 bladder cancer. That didn’t just happen all of the sudden. She had been experiencing symptoms and signs for some time before hearing the news. Feeling tired and overwhelmed, she wasn't sure why. There was a lump near her pelvis that caused her a lot of pain. One thing about my mom, she learned to work through her pain. When she finally decided to go to a doctor, she was misdiagnosed. In my opinion, she wasn’t treated with respect due to her insurance status. After a few visits with no relief, she finally saw a different doctor who then told her the diagnosis. Usually when you hear stage 4, you automatically think “death sentence.” At least that is what the media and doctors say. They basically tell you there is no chance for survival. If your mind and emotions aren’t strong you will succumb to the words spoken over you.

A lot of times we miss something because we are not listening to or paying attention to the signs. For my mom, her battle with cancer didn’t last long. Within the 7 months of my mom’s diagnosis, she was gone. Cancer took her away from us. I love and miss you momma!

Maybe you are experiencing pain in a part of your body, or you are always thirsty. Maybe you get chronic headaches. It’s possible when you wake up in the mornings, you are still tired. These are signs of something happening to your body. Make sure you are seeking counsel from a doctor to get yourself on the right path. Don’t let you not having insurance (like my mom) stop you from taking care of you. You matter in this world.

The Bible teaches us in Psalm 90:10 (The Living Bible), seventy years are given us! And some may even live to eighty. But even the best of these years is often empty and filled with pain; soon they disappear, and we are gone. So, if we believe the word of God and take care of ourselves, we should live to see at least seventy. Unfortunately, my mom passed away when she was fifty-eight. Now it won’t always happen that way because there are so many reasons people leave this earth. But for the sake of this blog post, I want us to pay attention to the signs our bodies are giving us.

We only get one life to live here in our earthly bodies. Let’s make sure we take heed to the signs we are given and make the necessary adjustments, so we can live long and prosper.

Sending you love, light and positive vibes,

Cassie K.

Nothing but the Truth. We really do need to listen to that kitte voice .... it hold the key. We get busy & continuously put off doing what is necessary for us to live a productive life. Thanks for sharing Cassie...

So very true! Our bodies do let us know when something is wrong, we just have to take heed and get checked out.
